Welcome to Module 5
Welcome to Module 5: Personalised Support Techniques
Well done on completing Module 4. Your ethical grounding from Module 4 remains central as you design personalised systems with your client. Module 5 marks another shift in your development: this is where coaching becomes deeply personalised and fully aligned with the client’s lived experience.
The focus of this module is on co-creating and implementing a personalised support system that respects each person’s unique neurology. Rather than applying generic coaching tools, you will learn how to design the Dynamic Development Plan (DDP) collaboratively and bring it to life using adaptive, scaffolded techniques that enhance independence, confidence, and self-advocacy.
Lesson 5.1, Creating the Individualised Coaching Plan, will guide you through the process of building the DDP in partnership with your client. You will learn to draw out their strengths, articulate their “why”, and create actions that belong to them — not to a service, employer, or external agenda.
Lesson 5.2, Adaptive Coaching Techniques, builds on this by teaching you how to use visual supports, technology, scaffolding, structured routines, and self-advocacy scripts to turn the DDP into a lived, practical framework. These techniques allow clients to succeed not by masking, but by working in ways that suit their natural processing profile.
By the end of this module, you will be able to design, implement, and review a personalised coaching plan that is responsive, ethical, and genuinely neuro-affirming. This work prepares the ground for the practical coaching elements of Module 6, where you will begin to apply these techniques in live or simulated scenarios.
