Neurocoach Level 5 Programme Verification Statement

Programme Verification Statement

Level 5 Neurocoach Certification Programme

1. Overview of Accreditation Alignment

This statement verifies that the Neurocoach Certification Programme, delivered by Neuro Learn Ltd, constitutes a Level 5 professional development qualification. The programme has been rigorously mapped against the Institute of Coaching (IoC) core competencies and the SQA Band of Expectations for higher level vocational professional practice.

Evidence Base and Study Volume

The programme is delivered over a twelve week duration, requiring a dedicated volume of study that reflects the depth of a Level 5 award. Candidates engage in weekly face to face tutor led sessions, providing direct mentorship and professional supervision. This contact time is supplemented by independent research, cohort collaboration, and the application of the Dynamic Development Plan (DDP) framework within real world educational and corporate contexts.

2. Rigour of Assessment and Task Structure

To ensure candidates meet the professional standards required of a certified Neurocoach, the programme employs a multi dimensional assessment strategy. Each week, candidates must complete tasks ranging between three hundred and five hundred words, designed to test the following cognitive domains:

  • Reflective Tasks: Encouraging the unlearning of deficit based narratives and the integration of neuro-affirming personal philosophies.
  • Analytical Tasks: Requiring the deconstruction of complex client profiles and environmental mismatches.
  • Synthesis Tasks: Combining neuroscience, communication theory, and the DDP into a unified coaching approach.
  • Evaluative Tasks: Critiquing existing coaching models and justifying the selection of adaptive tools and techniques.
  • MCQ Tasks: Ensuring a baseline of factual accuracy regarding neurodiversity, ethics, and safeguarding.

3. SQA Band Alignment

The marking and moderation of these tasks are strictly calibrated against SQA Bandings. A successful candidate must consistently demonstrate the Band A (Highly Competent) or Band B (Competent) criteria, exhibiting sophisticated professional reasoning, the consistent use of neuro-affirming language, and a robust ethical stance.

Verification of Competence

The final three thousand word paper serves as the summative evidence of a candidate’s readiness to practice. By synthesising twelve weeks of reflective and applied learning, the candidate proves they can align therapeutic goals with educational outcomes whilst maintaining the autonomy and dignity of the neurodivergent individual.
