About This English Assessment

This Functional Skills English assessment helps us understand how you read, write, and understand information. It is not a test you can fail. Just take your time and try your best.

You will answer questions about reading, understanding texts, spelling, punctuation, and writing clearly. These are everyday skills used at home, school, and work.

Some questions ask you to choose an answer. Others ask you to write a short response. A few questions ask you to explain what a word or sentence means.
